About Harvey
Harvey Stone is the Product Manager for MicroCare's Fiber Optic Cleaning Products. Before joining MicroCare, Mr. Stone worked as Product Manager for Inspection and Cleaning products at AFL/Noyes where he spent five years working on fiber optic test, inspection and cleaning products.
Before that, he was an I.T. specialist for the University System of New Hampshire, maintaining networks, writing bid specs, and supervising installations and repairs for the campus-wide network. He also served as an adjunct professor in Computer Science at New Hampshire Technical College, before teaching high school mathematics and physics. He also worked at Nortel as a project manager for its digital testing division and as a systems engineer at Foxboro Company in the process control industry.
Harvey has a BA in Physics and has been working in the communications industry since 1983. He participates and/or provides input to, SAE, iNEMI, TIA, ARINC and IEC, primarily dealing with cleaning and inspection issues. Harvey has utilized his teaching experience while presenting training sessions on fiber optic cleaning at conventions such as BICSI and OSP.
Harvey lives in the Pheonix area and travels frequently during the year, visiting client sites, participating in standards committees and researching new developments in the industry.
