MicroCare Is ISO 9001:2008 Registered
MicroCare Corp. announced on April 15, 2009 that it has been registered to the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard. This registration indicates MicroCare is in compliance with the internationally-accepted standards for quality. It assures customers that MicroCare products and services are developed, engineered, manufactured and delivered using the latest in quality management processes. While all ISO 9001 registered companies eventually will migrate to the new guidelines, MicroCare has made a deliberate effort to become registered as quickly as possible after the newest requirements were defined.
This certification superceeds the one as of November 9, 2005, in which MicroCare was awarded "ISO
9001:2000 Registered" status by ISOQAR Inc., a certification body accredited by UKAS and ANAB. This certification has just been renewed as is valid through Nov. 2011. If needed for your files, you can download the official, high-rez certificate here.
Receiving ISO 9001-2008 registration is a significant and positive milestone for MicroCare. The MicroCare ISO 9001-2008 quality system covers all aspects of MicroCare's management and operations, including order entry, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, calibration and purchasing. All of the documentation related to MicroCare production processes, work and safety instructions, and office procedures has been written and documented in the ISO-approved format. We have also trained and certified in-house auditors who audit every aspect of our quality process. The ISO process also assures that all MicroCare employees receive (and remain current in) the training required to do their job in a professional and safe manner. Most importantly, the ISO 9001-2008 quality system assures MicroCare customers that MicroCare's management is committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
In bringing our quality system into conformance with ISO 9001-2008 requirements, MicroCare trained a team of in-house auditors from all areas of the company (for a total of six certified in-house auditors) who as a group are responsible for the continuous review of all aspects of the quality system. The ongoing efforts of the MicroCare auditors are then reviewed annually by an external accredited certification body that will confirm MicroCare is continuing to operate within the requirements of ISO 9001.
ISOQAR Inc. issued the original ISO registration certificate on November 9, 2005; MicroCare received the new certificate for the newer, updated rating on May 28, 2009.
In all areas reviewed, the ISOQAR auditors found that MicroCare's new Quality Management System was in conformance with the requirements of ISO 9001-2008 with ZERO nonconformance items noted. It was also noted that the system was well-documented and nicely suited to MicroCare's organizational structure.
In addition to the ISO process, the MicroCare quality program conforms to the Chemical Manufacturers Association policies on "Responsible Care" as well as state-of-the-art commercial practices. Our adherence to strict quality control procedures insures our customers will receive quality and consistency in all MicroCare products.
