The Cleaning System for Jumpers and Cleaning Before Splicing
Some people say it's easy to clean jumpers. It's easy to reach the end-face, easy to inspect, and easy to use IPA alcohol on the end-face and get it nice and clean.
Sadly, it won't work reliably and cost-effectively. Cleaning jumpers actually is a very demanding job, especially on modern, high-speed networks. The performance requirements are very high. Using contaminated IPA on an end-face and wiping the end-face with a cellulose-ladened wipe is no longer going to get the job done. Under an inspection scope you will find alcohol residues, oils, often times residual water that was carried by the alcohol, plus lint and contamination from the wipe, and other particulate as well.
If you use Sticklers™ Benchtop CleanWipes™ or the Sticklers™ Outdoor CleanWipes™ with the new Sticklers™ Fiber Optic Splice and Connector Cleaner, you will consistently and reliably get the job done right. These products work together and together enhance each other's performance to exceed the demanding cleaning performance required on today's gigahertz networks.
